Bio

Rarely following the status quo, Neil de Gray finds cohesive solutions for his clients by combining his technical strength with a unique ability to connect all parts of a business. As a trusted advisor to business owners, boards and shareholders, Neil is well known for his sound professional judgment, creativity, hard-working attitude, and client responsiveness.

Neil is a Managing Director at KSV, handling business valuations, damage quantifications, and complex litigation support services. He provides independent and objective valuations for shareholder transactions, mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting, and fairness opinions as well as succession, tax and corporate planning.

Neil also has a diverse litigation support practice. He assists with shareholder disputes, breaches of contract, intellectual property disputes, tax litigations, and other commercial litigation matters. He has testified in Canadian courts as a qualified expert in business and securities valuation and corporate finance.

Neil is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) placing on the National Honour Roll on the 2008 Uniform Final Evaluation, a Chartered Business Valuator (CBV), and holds a Certificate in Financial Forensics (CFF). Graduating with high distinction from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management, Neil earned his Bachelor of Commerce degree and received the Director’s Award for Academic Excellence. He has written several articles and texts on business valuation and related topics for publications such as the Global Damages Review, Canadian Franchise Guide, and The Advocates’ Journal, and actively serves on several committees with the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators.

Before joining KSV, Neil was a director at a leading international valuation and disputes services consultancy, where he provided valuation, damages quantification and merger and acquisition advisory services. Prior to that, he spent several years at a global accounting firm, providing assurance and advisory services to large public companies operating in the financial services and asset management sectors.
