Peter analyzes every facet of a situation to better understand everyone’s needs, leading him to find the best solutions. In all matters, Peter ensures that everyone stays on the same page by explaining processes, outlining costs, sharing regular updates, and answering all questions.

Peter is a Managing Director at KSV Advisory and is one of the group’s practice leaders. He has been providing business valuation and litigation support services to assist in financial disputes and transactions since 1998.

His experience in business valuation, damage quantification and forensic accounting covers a wide range of industries including manufacturing, distribution, technology, professional services, intellectual property, and real estate, encompassing both privately owned businesses and complex public companies. Peter has testified at trial and been certified as an expert.

Well known for his efficient and easy-to-follow approach, Peter expertly handles valuations for income tax purposes, shareholder disputes, family law matters, and estate planning, as well as advising boards of directors.

He has assisted in court cases, arbitrations, settlement discussions and case conferences, calculating damages in a wide range of litigation-related mandates, including breach of contract, investment advisor claims, commercial business losses, estate litigation and fraud investigations. He has been retained by business owners, individual plaintiffs, and large corporations, as well as cities, municipalities and government agencies.

Peter graduated from the University of Toronto’s MBA program and earned his CPA, CA designation in 1995. He is a Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) and is Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) through the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is also an expert in Investigative and Forensic Accounting (IFA).

As a respected expert in his field, Peter has written articles for several publications including the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators (CICBV) course materials and Lawyers Weekly. He has been quoted in the Toronto Star, The Globe and Mail, Lexpert.ca, and CBC.ca. Peter has also spoken at conferences for several groups, including the Law Society of Ontario and the Federated Press.
