Chico’s FAS Canada, Co. (“Chico Canada”) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Chico FAS, Inc. (“Chico US”), which operated stores under the Chico and White House Black Market names.
Due to the under-performance of Chico Canada, and the catastrophic impact of Covid-19 on the Chico Canada business, Chico US made a decision to exit its stores in Canada. Working with Chico US, KSV called back several hundred employees (who had been furloughed due to the pandemic) to conduct an orderly 90-day store closing sale for all of the Canadian stores. Restarting operations required landlord and employee cooperation, as well as administrative support from Chico US.
