Everest Colleges Canada Inc. (“ECC”) was an indirect subsidiary of Corinthian Colleges Inc., a US publicly traded company. ECC operated as a private career college, offering various college diploma programs. ECC operated from fourteen leased campuses across Ontario, at which approximately 2,600 students were enrolled. ECC employed 700 individuals.
ECC made an assignment in bankruptcy and we were appointed Licensed Insolvency Trustee of its estate. ECC had 17 campuses across Ontario. We realized on ECC’s assets for the benefit of its creditors and were also instrumental in orderly shutting down the school’s operations, including ensuring students received the information they required.
