We were retained in a shareholder dispute to review and analyze the expenses deducted by the controlling shareholder from income, in addition to valuing the ownership interest. This involved a detailed analysis of the payments to related parties including reviewing detailed general ledger and credit card transactions.
Our review identified numerous personal expenses not related to the operations that were material to the value of the interest. This dispute was resolved prior to the trial and our client was reimbursed for its share of the non-business related expenses which had been charged to the company.
