Lear Corporation is a Fortune 500 company, engaged in the business of manufacturing and distribution of automotive interior systems. At the time of its filing, Lear employed over 70,000 employees and operated 210 production facilities in 36 countries, including four in Ontario.
We were appointed Information Officer under Part IV of the CCAA in Lear’s cross-border proceedings, with the main proceeding being filed under Chapter 11 in the US. The outcome of the restructuring proceedings was a successful plan of reorganization implemented in both the US and Canada.
