We were retained to assess and provide a valuation of certain European cannabis assets acquired by a publicly traded Canadian cannabis company. Our valuation report was used for financial and shareholder reporting purposes. The European assets consisted of early-stage cannabis assets including property, plant and equipment, greenhouse assets, and licenses and permits to operate cannabis related businesses in Portugal, Spain, and other European jurisdictions.
Our analysis involved a review of licensing and regulatory requirements in different European jurisdictions and our assessment of the financial prospects of the nascent cannabis industry in Europe. We assessed management’s financial forecasts and models and prepared a detailed analysis of precedent industry transactions and public company multiples.
