We were retained by the shareholders of a private label manufacturer of sauces and ingredients for the foodservice and retail industries. The company is a family-owned Ontario based supplier of BBQ sauces, salad dressings, salsa, mustards and other sauces. The company’s customers included restaurants, grocers and food manufacturers.
Our analysis included an assessment of the business and its prospects, a review of key customer and supplier relationships, and a review of market multiples and expressions of interest for the business. Our valuation analysis was used to assess the strategic direction of the company and for shareholder succession planning. Our valuation ultimately assisted the shareholder group with a successful exit and sale of the business to a third-party.
