The volatility in commodity prices has a dramatic effect on explorers, developers and producers worldwide. Managing that volatility, whether by hedging, futures or other strategies, is a perpetual challenge and requires diligent budgeting for all aspects of the operations.

Our team has been active in the mining sector, developing strategies for distressed businesses to recapitalize and/or facilitate a transaction. We have also advised profitable operators and their stakeholders in valuation and dispute contexts, including several matters where we provided expert testimony in court proceedings related to damage quantification litigation.

Our mandates include both precious metals and base metal companies with mines in Canada, the US, Peru, Brazil and Chile, including operational mines and mines in care and maintenance mode.
