Bio

Jordan brings a balanced and practical approach when dealing with complex matters. He works quickly to understand key issues, consider alternatives and enjoys the challenge of finding solutions for his clients when time and information is often limited. His well-tempered approach has earned him the trust of his clients and his peers.

Jordan handles a wide range of matters including debtor side advisory, creditor side advisory, distressed corporate finance and court-appointed restructuring and liquidation mandates under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA) and the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (BIA).

Since 2014, Jordan has worked with clients across a broad range of industries including financial institutions, real estate, technology, consumer products, retail, automotive, and restaurants, among others. In addition, he advises on financial matters in complex litigation and settlement efforts.

Jordan’s recent work includes acting as the Monitor in the CCAA proceedings of Ardenton Capital Corporation, an integrated multinational private equity business. He has also acted in numerous other insolvency and restructuring mandates including the Urbancorp Group of Companies, Audible Capital, Juch-Tech, G.I. Sportz and Lucky Brand Canada, among others. Jordan’s experience includes cross-border insolvency mandates as the Information Officer of Hollander Sleep Products

Jordan acts as a financial advisor to a consortium of provinces and territories in efforts to facilitate a global resolution of all claims against the Canadian Tobacco Industry. He has also advised lenders and special committees in dealing with distressed debtors. Jordan was deeply involved in the interim management of PACE, a large credit union that was placed under administration by its regulator.

Jordan is a Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT), Chartered Insolvency Restructuring Professional (CIRP) and Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA). Before joining KSV, Jordan worked in KPMG’s financial institutions practice. Jordan enjoys playing tennis and traveling to tournaments around the world.

Jordan also volunteers as a board of director for Homes First and Habitat Services. Both charitable organizations facilitate housing for people affected by mental health issues and poverty in Toronto.
